Egyptian Sharpshooter

Painting for my worldbuilding from a while back!
Here is an Egyptian Sharpshooter. The Pharaoh handpicks the best mercenaries for his elite units, Nubian archers being the most famed across the world.

Middle East, 1300 BC
The Egyptian Dynasty, together with the Hittites and the Assyrians rule spreme over the known world. The fertile Nile river grants the empire prosperity and splendor, spreading its influence throughout the Levant. All great empires must crumble, and the Egyptians are no exception.
While the Egyptians dominated any battlefield, they were unable to defend their cities from within. Famine weakened the lands and Hebrew slave revolts decimated the cities. Before Egypt could recover, Greek raiders from the sea brought havoc on their shores. Egypt barely endured these onslaughts, and was forever changed afterwards.
The countless deaths turned the Egyptians to the worship of Osiris, as their new supreme god, warden of the afterlife. For them, he would blur the lines of life and death so their empire can endure. The search for immortality has begun.
