Guardian of the Second Temple

Happy to say its my birthday today; A perfect time to share a big personal painting I have worked on.
Inspired by the character design of the Hebrew Warrior I painted 2 weeks ago I wanted to paint a full illustration based on that piece.
This is a temple guardian, chosen from the most elite and spiritually devout warriors of the Hebrew Tribes by the High Priest himself, to defend the houses of worship throughout the kingdom.

Temple Guardian
In a small village a lone temple guardian stand vigil throughout the night, exposing himself to the spirituality of the house of worship, granting him the will to fulfil his duty. Weapon in hand and vigilant at all times, the devotion of the chosen warrior remains until the breaking dawn, where life begins anew in the village. The day will come where the Temple Guardian will be ready to lay down his life for the House of Worship he is sworn to defend.
